For home: groceries. There were also two pairs of compression socks in there for Julie, since she's on her feet all day and requires comfort.

For work: a laptop, a bunch of Intel NUCs, a bunch of monitors, ergonomic keyboards, wireless keyboard/mouse combos, 3.5" hard disk trays for Dell PowerEdge C6100 servers, Dell PERC H810 cards with low-profile brackets, a bunch of 50/125 OM3 fiber (20m length), and a whole mess of 14 gauge power cables (1, 2, and 3-foot length). Going to need a bunch of CAT6 cable, too ... pre-cut lengths, though, because as much as I can crimp CAT6, I prefer not to

An ASUS Geforce GTX 970 STRIX Edition card.

At $269 or thereabouts from Jet.com I couldn't resist, that's a killer deal for a card that still sells everywhere else for $330 to $350.

Yes, that makes two for my rig. Since I'm using a 4K display now I figure that it only makes sense... plus it will make my video encoding go almost twice as fast. Helps my Youtube 'business' therefore I can write part of it off. Big Grin

The new iteration of the 'NoxBox' is sure turning out to be quite a nice machine.

I just hope my aged Corsair TX750 can handle the workload for a few more months. The numbers I've seen show that a similarly spec'ced machine should draw around 450w or less with both cards at full load.

I suspect a bunch of L6-30R receptacles, wire, and 208V 0U PDUs are going to be required in the near future...

Just bought a refurb Canon Powershot SX520 HS for $89 shipped and comes with a free 4GB SD card...

http://shop.usa.canon.com/shop/en/catalo...efurbished

Super hot deal, surprised it didn't sell out yet.

My current ELPH 110 HS has served me well for over five years now and that was a refurb too! I have really been itching to get a superzoom again and the 520 HS seems pretty well rounded in all aspects including having a 24mm wide angle which is good for 'vlog' style videos (which is also why I've stuck with the mighty little Elph 110 HS for so long).

SWEET!!!

Let me know what you think of it compared to your current card. It's been a year and I still love my GTX970 (both of them, now). I think it's the best performance for the money... the sweet spot, as it were.

Well, it's clearly going to be better, though I don't think I have anything that will really push it. The most demanding game I've played as of late is probably FFXIV, but I'm on the downswing with that. I'll probably just run the bench and ooh and ahh over that. That said, this does "clear" me to get some newer stuff come Steam's Summer Sale, since I should have at least half the horsepower necessary. The other half coming later this year when I save up for a 4790k.

edit: And I did get the card from Newegg and not Jet.com, it's obviously cheaper at the latter, but all the customer service horror stories turned me away.

New mouse because my current (Logitech G500) won't stop double-clicking, and the cord is just loose enough from the mouse itself that excessive movement kills the signal.

Two of these:

That link leading to a 600w EVGA 80+ PSU for $29.99 with free expedited shipping. Not fantastic PSUs but fairly solid and a fantastic deal. I'll test them for functionality and then keep them in the boxes for whatever may come down the road. Future builds, backup PSUs for our house rigs, or client repairs.

Two of these Seasonic SS-650HT 650W power supplies on Ebay. This was a hot deal posted in the HardForums and at this price I had to bite. These are brand new system pulls...

The same PSU sells for $85 on Newegg.

This makes 4 PSUs I've bought in a week's time but I couldn't pass up the Seasonic deal. I'll definitely be hanging onto these for personal use and use the EVGAs for family or client builds in the future.

Holy balls I'd love one of those... and I'm usually a chocolate shake kinda guy. I've been on a 'healthier eating' kick the last two weeks or so and while I won't call it a 'diet' it's a conscious effort to eat healthier.

Mainly this has consisted of drastically cutting my non-diet soda intake and trying to eliminate things like bread and pasta. I just try and concentrate on lean meat and veggies...

I drink like 8 or 10 bottles of water a day and I'll drink a soda at dinner. May not sound like much but... well... let's just say my daily sugar intake was much much higher two weeks ago.

Oh shit, this is the what have you bought thread... lol.

I just hit the buy button on these - a 2x16GB kit of G'Skill Ripjaws V DDR4 3200

Again, I'll be putting the two 2x16GB 2100 kits I bought a month ago up for sale. I believe I erred when I 'upgraded' my old 2x8GB DDR4 3000 kit. There was a marked and noticable performance decrease moving from the two 8GB 3000 rated sticks to the four 16GB 2100 rated sticks - whether that's from the lower rated speed or the fact that my Asus Maximus VIII Ranger hates having all four slots filled is anyone's guess, but I know it's slower.

So I'll have to cut my massive 64GB e-pen0r down to 32GB... oh well. :p
