BBPix now offering virtually UNLIMITED storage for free!

#1
In celebration of BBPix coming back online all users accounts have had their storage limits changed from 1GB to 10GB (yes, TEN) starting today. And, if you ever need more storage tell me why and I'll hook you up with an unlimited account.

Also monthly bandwidth limits have been changed from 1GB per month to 10GB per month also starting today.

This effectively provides virtually 'limitless' storage for you to use BBPix as it was intended - as a free file / image hosting service!

(Note: There is a file size limit that is set arbitrarily by our webhost and I cannot ovveride that. I think its 3MB but I'm going to do some experimenting to see just what it is and I'll let you know - still 3MB is plenty big enough for most image files.)

www.BBPix.com - Celebrating SEVEN YEARS of serving our online communities!

NoxTek LLC as the owner and operator of the BBPix free file hosting service does not allow the uploading and sharing of copyrighted and/or illegal material and reserves the right to delete such material and suspend the associated user account without notice. BBPix currently services a set number of online communities including but not limited to GameBeat and the [H]ard|OCP forums. Hotlinking from unauthorized websites is forbidden and NoxTek LLC / BBPix reserves the right to redirect unauthorized hotlinks to the most unpleasant material possible in an effort to discourage such abuse of the service we provide.

OK well according to vBulletin the PHP max post size on our hosting is 8MB, meaning the total amount you upload in one session can't exceed 8MB. Max upload size is 2MB, meaning a single file uploaded can't exceed 2MB. Still plenty big enough for most image files but I'll see what I can do to change it to something a little bigger.

OK I've setup a custom php.ini for BBPix with a little less restriction - the following changes have been made:

1. php_max_post_size has been changed from 8MB to 64MB. You can now upload a total of about 64MB at one session.
2. max upload file size has been changed from 2MB to 8MB. You can now upload files of up to about 8MB in size - this should cover just about any (reasonable) image file.

Again we at Gamebeat.net, BBPix.com, and NoxTek LLC ask that you do not abuse our service nor our leeway in upload limits. Thank you. Smile
