Completely forgot there was a paid version of ADW, so yesterday I went and finally bought it, since I love the free version.

So awesome.

I've been rocking Zeam on my phone. I guess I'm so used to it now that other launchers just seem clunky.

I've been using ADW paid for the longest time, I also have Launcher Pro paid.

I used ADW for a while when I had the Nexus One, but as I loaded newer versions of Android on it I found that it was a bit bloated ... hence Zeam. My dad has the Nexus One now, with stock GB.

I tried Sense, too. My Thunderbolt came with Sense and I used it for a while, until I got sick of the lack of updates from HTC/Verizon and rooted it myself. I threw a ROM with Sense 3.5 onto it, and it was great eye candy, but it was really heavy too. So, I installed a Sense-less ROM and Zeam there too.

My new baby is a T-Mobile branded Samsung Exhibit II 4G! Using the T-Mobile prepaid $30 plan where I get 5GB of 4G data and 100 voice minutes a month. (Data is actually unlimited, but after 5GB it drops to EDGE speeds)

I absolutely love the phone for the $200 it cost me. One of the snappiest single core Android experiences I've had short of a tablet.

Specs:
3.7" SLCD screen (capacitive multitouch)
480x800 resolution
1ghz Qualcomm Snapdragon chipset (Scorpion CPU, Adreno 205 GPU)
512MB RAM, 1.5GB total onboard app storage (expandable with MicroSD of course)
Comes stock with Gingerbread and Touchwiz, but the build seems heavily optimized. VERY snappy!

I just spent 30 minutes getting the homescreens the way I like:

That's using GO Launcher Pro and their new 3.0 icon set... me likey.

About my only complaint on the phone is Samsung's usual lack of enthusiasm when it comes to releasing source and details for ALL of the hardware on their phones. It makes life hell for third party ROM developers... for instance right now there is an awesome port of CM9 for the phone, but the camera is b0rked because no one can figure out what hardware the camera uses and therefore no one can compile the right drivers into the kernel. Pisser.

Got my home screen all setup. Sadly, my ZAGG hit some crap under it when I installed it

And yes, I know it says 3G. Battery life sucks add in 4G. Planning on getting two Samsung extended batteries this Thursday.

Bought this combo for my phone, gotta love cheap ebay crap.

Basically consists of:

1 TPU rubber case
3x screen protectors
2x cheap Chinese extended batteries
1x external battery charger
1x USB data/charging cable

All for $13 shipped

Some people might poo poo me for buying those cheap screen protector films and those cheap chinese batteries, but I find that the cheap film works just as well as the expensive shit. I'll NEVER pay $25 goddamned dollars for a Zagg protector again... I had one on the Intercept and really hated not only the application process, but the weird ass rubbery orange peel finish of it.

As for the cheap chinese Li-Ion batteries I've had nothing but great luck with them sofar. I had a couple for my old Motorola Triumph, and for my old Optimus V.. and several of my family has them for their Optimus Vs. They always work at least as good as the stock batteries...

Amazon and Ebay are like the king of cheap cellphone accessories.

I tried a generic battery in my Droid R2D2, phone wouldn't work at all

Thinking of this since my GN is such a battery hog though.

Or this since its cheaper. Not sure. Like the price of the second one but the capacity of the first one....
